Regarding your question on nutritional yeast, here's an article from

Wikipedia on it. It is a mainstay of many vegetarians and most

vegans, I'm thinking. Be aware that it is completely different from

bread dough yeast and from brewers' yeast.

I don't put it on popcorn, but I do add some to my mashed

potatoes. I feel it adds richness without adding a ton of butter.
