Guest guest
Hello Again! I went to my podiatrist last week to have my orthotics raised and refit. They are just made of foam right now until I get plastic ones. I went back again yesterday to have more support added to my arches and my doctor decided that we were just going to have AFOs made. So that I won't have to wear my canvas/sports ankle braces. He said that they would be made of plastic and wrap around my calf and ankle and be orthotics at the bottom. I was just wondering if anybody could send me a picture of them. I'd really appreciate it. le
Guest guest
They didn't tell me what kind. But I'll have to ask. Thanks Gretchen, le
Guest guest
Georgia, I had my orthotist remove the pads from my NB shoes, then trim them down and permanently glue them into my AFOs. It gives my feet so much more cushion and comfort, I can't imagine wearing my AFOs without them. The pain and pressure would be excruciating. Guest guest
Hi Elaine, At this time I don't wear AFOs. I still have shoe orthotics but they haven't been helping very much lately. I did not even know what AFOs were until I joined this group. I'm sure others will tell you all you need to know about them. I will be interested in their input as well. There may come a day when I do need them. Best wishes, Elaina.
