Hello ,

Avocado makes things VERY thick (pudding-like).

I use Avocado frequently - usually one of two ways - either sweet or savory:

Here is a sweet recipe:

" Green Pudding "

The juice of a lemon, something to sweeten (I use Stevia), Greens (this can be

ANY greens or combination of greens). In the picture above I used sprouts,

celery, and spinach. You can also just use a couple of hands full of spinach

(or any greens or combination of greens).

Here is a savory recipe:

" Guacamole Smoothie "

The juice of a lemon, 1/2 of a cucumber, 1/2 of a red bell pepper, 1/2 of an

avocado, a stalk of celery, and a big hand full of spinach and some Sea Salt to

taste. (you can add cilantro if you like the taste)

After blending this until it was all very smooth (only took about 30 seconds) I

added a chopped up stalk of celery, the other half of the red bell pepper

(roughly chopped), and the other half of an avocado (roughly chopped). Then I

blended these last ingredients on the lower variable speeds just enough to

lightly chop them so that when I pour this into a bowl I can eat it with a spoon

and I have texture to chew on :-)

If a person did not want the texture all of this could be blended in one batch

into a smooth, thick, pudding-like cold green soup.

Great ideas there, Jan - thanks.Ginny From: Jan Mennell <mennelljd@...> " " < > Sent: Thursday, May 3, 2012 8:55 PM Subject: Re: does nyone have a smoothie recipe using avacado

Here are several recipes utilizing the avocado in green smoothies. They are from Gwyneth Paltrow's blog. Ive tried some & they are good. I substitute hemp protein powder for the Sustain packets.
