Guest guest
Hi everyone. I ordered my Vitamix last Friday and cannot wait for it to get here! I've been watching youtube videos and doing a lot of reading in preparation. One thing I'm interested in doing is composting. I've had a garden for years but never got into composting. So I'd like to start once I get the Vitamix. i understand about putting the material on the soil daily but I'm wondering about options in the winter. Rather than go back to the habit of throwing everything away, if the soil is covered with tons of snow, would it be best to get a container and just put it in there? I was also thinking about making an area and build a box over it with a hinged top. Then I could just brush the snow off the top and dump it in. It would not get spread around until spring came and the snow melted so not sure if that would be ideal. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
