I usually add a small amount of sweetener to the smoothie to round it out. Either agave or maple syrup. Very small amount though. Mine was1tbsp nibs2 cups spinach1 cup non dairy milk1 frozen banana1tsp agaveI agree it tasted a little raw but compared to the last attempt with cocoa powder, it was delish. There is some high demand around here for chocolate in smoothies, but

using either the nibs or the cocoa leaves the chocolate with a somewhat

"raw" taste. Does someone here know how to make it taste otherwise?

I tried simply simmering some in water until the water was mostly

evaporated and using the resultant paste but still it's tasting raw or

unfinished somehow. What would I best do to it or put in it, etc, to

get rid of that aspect of the flavor?

I've used a couple of pitted dates for sweetener. The taste is good, but I did

get some micro bits of date in the drink. Not so much that I minded. Try it!
