Guest guest
Hi Butch and welcome, Being a recently diagnosed CMTer I understand your fears. The past few weeks have been a roller coaster ride of emotions and they seem to not be ending quite yet. I know they will. As soon as I come to terms with this, get the right medication and realize that I can still do the things I enjoy. Maybe not as often or for as long but right now the only thing that slows me down is fatigue. Unfortunately, pain is a big part of my life at the moment and has been for about a year. I'm hoping to get some relief with a plantar fascia surgery soon and a higher dosage of Neurontin. CMT is very scary at first especially when you don't know what's in store for the future. But I am trying to look at things as " enjoy today as much as I can " . It doesn't always work and I too am very scared. I'm trying to remain confident and learn to take things a little slower. Keep posting and again welcome! Elaina/NY
