Guest guest
Welcome Butch, Yep, the " not knowing " makes us more fearful and prone to freak out. Will try to post some links for you, but do you know what type of CMT you positive tested for? I am guessing Type 1, here, but let me know. Meanwhile, here is one general site, there are others, and if it is any consolation, most of the CMT research has been on Type 1. So, sit back, slow the fear down, breathe a few deep breaths and take a look at this http://www.neurologychannel.com/charcot/ We are all affected different due to our unique genetic code, but some of the symptoms shared by us are poor balance, fatigue in walking long distances, tiring easily, tripping/falling. (There are simple ways of managing these) I'm sure others will jump in to tell you how they are affected. Once you start learning about CMT, the fears will subside and you will learn what you can do to help yourself manage. We're always here with help too. If you want, share your fears with us. We know them too. Gretchen
