Proceeds from the tournament will go to support the Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) Clinic at Wayne State University (WSU). These funds will help to support the basic operations of the clinic and will help patients with the cost of medical equipment and genetic testing. We hope that you will consider participating. More information and registration forms will be forthcoming. Please contact us at: 313-577-8317 if you have questions. CMT is a common form of neuropathy affecting approximately one in 2500 individuals, approximately the same incidence as multiple sclerosis. The CMT clinic at WSU is a comprehensive clinic whereby CMT patients from all over the country are evaluated. The clinic at WSU is the only one of its kind in the country and is dedicated toward combining state of the art patient care and clinical research. A typical visit includes assessment by a neurologist, physiatrist, genetic counselor and other specialists, such as pediatric neurologists and pulmonary specialists, as needed. Information gathered from patient evaluations is used for research purposes to learn more about CMT in addition to patient care.
