Guest guest
Hi Patti R, My son Mat has been taking 1 mg Tenex for tics for the past year and a half. The doc said the Tenex would help with his rage behavior. In Mat's case it did not help his behavior but it did work well for his tics. I have heard of others who have had success with Tenex helping with behavioral problems. Tenex is sometimes also used for ADHD. I know a hyperactive boy who took Tenex. It really helped him calm down. He came to our house for a sleep over when he was on Tenex. He was very pleasant during that time and Mat could actually keep up with him. Tenex has less side effects than some of the other medications which address behavioral issues. The only way to know if Tenex is right for your child is to have her try it. Tenex is very sedating for the first week or two. Dry mouth is a common side effect which also goes away in about two weeks. Patti in CA << From: " Patti R. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. Molly has been very confrontational and has been wired. The doc felt we might try to releive some of her anxiety. Any shared experience will be appreciated. Thanks, patti r. >>
