Guest guest
Hi all,Yesterday, I ventured to buy a young (Thai) coconut, and opened it up, poured out the wonderful coconut water to use later, and then found that instead of using a spoon, which takes forever, I used my Vitamix spatula to remove the young coconut meat. I just slid the spatula in at the top edge and eased it around, and ALL the meat came out in one piece! It was the perfect tool! And, I felt so proud getting up the nerve to try a young coconut, and then to get the meat out so easily - it was a great day!Gnny
Guest guest
Excellent-clever gal! If you decide you like playing with the thai coconuts, here is a nifty little tool to make " noodles " from them-you can also use it for sweet potatoes or other hard veggies. Another group member put me on to them-I love mine! http://www.ubraw.com/rawtools.html > > Hi all, > > Yesterday, I ventured to buy a young (Thai) coconut, and opened it up, poured out the wonderful coconut water to use later, and then found that instead of using a spoon, which takes forever, I used my Vitamix spatula to remove the young coconut meat. Guest guest
Wow, thanks for that link. I ordered it, as I can see other uses for it, too! I'm assuming it will work with the mature coconut, as well. Doing zucchini and other foods could be fun. Thanks,Ginny From: <berrywell@...> Sent: Monday, April 2, 2012 3:44 PM Subject: Re: Vitamix Spatula Excellent-clever gal!
