Actually, neither one is a preservative. Vitamin E is a antioxidant and is

used to prevent rancidity in oils. GSE by itself won't preserve anything.

There are some adulterated GSE around where a synthetic preservative has

been added. Since the manufacturer won't disclose what has been added, I

can't imagine anyone that cares about their customers selling them a product

that they can't guarantee the ingredients. Check out the archives on GSE and

you will find plenty of stuff to keep you reading.
