Guest guest
I just bought the 5200 model and was surprised to hear that both the wet and dry containers are not made of glass but are made from a plastic called eastman tritan copolyester. I googled this material and although some people feel it is very safe with no BPA others say it has not been thoroughly tested. I am worried because I like to use the vitamix to make hot soups and fear the release of plasticides when the container is heated. Does anyone have information on this issue. Thanks,Arlene Lapidus From: son <swrightson14@...> Vitamix < > Sent: Monday, April 30, 2012 7:15 PM Subject: Re: Wet and Dry Containers/Lea Ann The reason this list is so wonderful is that YOU are! Thank you so much for this, and I will contact you privately. And my apologies for not answering sooner, but we travel a bit for business and have been gone.
