I was given a Vitamix for Christmas (2011) and never even took it out of the box! Last week, I stumbled upon one of Lea Ann's Vitamix videos and decided it was time for my family to start drinking Green Smoothies. So, I stocked up on fruit, spinach, kale, and Romaine. Everyone in the family has been drinking these for the past week - 2 each day (breakfast and afternoon snack). Three of the four of us love them (19 y.o. daughter not so sure) and I feel great about this decision. I'm thrilled to have found all of you as I know I'll have questions and look forward to trying some of the recipes you all have. For now, I'm keeping it very simple – just fruit, Greens (40-50%), water and ice. Husband wants to add protein to make it more of a meal, but I want to keep it simple for the first 30 days.
