Guest guest
Lottie I am glad that Jimmy is in hospital and having the care that is needed. Keep Jimmy in hospital as long as you can. Sandy's knowledgable information from her nursing experience would be useful to all. Good idea Lottie - give up the smoke and drink - don't do either. If Jimmy was home and not stablised - you would be need of carer rest yourself - even though gladly given - Jimmy's care if not stablised would be very stressful for you. I agree with Jimmy of his experience of hospitals - just when you are having a rest another nurse, doctor, treatment arrives and off you go again. Hospitals are not for resting that is for sure - home is for resting. I know just from myself - (I have been home 6 weeks now after surgery (can you believe the time) and still feeling sore and sorry but every week is a week improved) and so it will be for Jimmy. Thanks for thinking of me Lottie. My is starting to hand over some of the smaller tasks for me - and this has freed him up considerably. I think he was getting a little tired. has been doing all my horse and paddock tasks, going to his own work, looking after me, doing the house work, driving me here and there to appointments, cooking meals for the week - all without a complaint - aren't we glad we have partners who support, while I sit around and act like a Queen - treated as such. Yes the horses are great - actually one of those guys did miss me - kept coming over to me when I returned home - the others though were doing more important thinks like having their heads in their feed buckets; so just looked up - said howdie and returned to doing what they love to do - eat. Yes the home horses, do get carrots in their feed - after their feed and in between their feed. The other horses are in work so only get carrots as treats. Glivec and eye bags - yes the 600mg does it to me everytime - no swelling in feet or hands this time though. Someone else gave me the hint of putting cold soup spoons (from freezer) over the eyes in the morning and the bags will go down - did this - spoons so cold could not keep them on my face, jumping around the kitchen - so obviously I would have to wrap them up next time - so do not know if this hint works or not. What a sight - all the family thought it was very funny. Keep your rest up Lottie and my thoughts are with Jimmy - hope his health improves quickly Hugs to you both and for your kindness, Sue
