Guest guest
Yesterday husband and I attended a juicing class at Sonoma. There was a woman beside me who wanted to give her " 32 oz " container to the gentleman beside me. We were talking about how useful it could be for small batches and she says, " well it's too much trouble to keep changing the blade " . I was totally confused and kept asking questions because I thought I was hearing it wrong. She said she got it at a Home Show of some type and they delivered only one blade set but both 64 and 32 oz containers. So she has to change blades from one to the other to switch containers. I was so dumbfounded that I kept asking questions to make sure I understood her right. With the problems we hear here once in a while about leaks and them being fixed by using the special wrench to tighten things. WHY would anyone sell a new Vitamix user two containers and only one blade set? This makes no sense whatsoever to me. I suggested the gal join us on this group and get a new blade sent with Lea Ann's help, but not sure if she will show up. She says she sees no use for the smaller container since it is so much trouble. Can you enlighten us Lea Ann on what this may have happened? The class, by the way, was fun. They showed juicing with a Hebron, a Breville (exactly like my new one, with the 2 blades), a Breville citrus juicer, and a new squat 64 oz Container VitaMix. (Several of us thought it very weird they have a " cleaning " button on it, since all you have to do is put in soap and water and turn it on and walk away. I asked the demo people, all employees of WS, why the cleaning button and they said it's so you can walk away. We all looked at each other and laughed when she turned away). The new VM does seem a bit quieter and the shorter wider 64 oz container means it will fit under more counters, a good thing. I still LOVE my 5200 and will likely have it the rest of my life, if it lasts like my first one has (which still runs and has since 1977).
