Guest guest
In anticipation of receiving my VM, I've been trying to prepare for the changes I plan to make in my diet. These changes are basically to adopt *some* ideas of the raw lifestyle, mostly to incorporate green smoothies and generally more fruits, veges, whole grains, legumes, etc into my diet. I've spent weeks doing research, and what I've learned is that there's a ton of conflicting information (which I already knew) and lots of people who claim to be experts but have no real reason to make such a claim. I don't need medical degrees, but a general understanding of health and how the body works are things I expect to see from someone claiming to be an expert. I can't tell you how many sites I've been on claiming that calories don't matter, or to avoid egg yolks or honey is bad for you or apple seeds are poisonous. I've found plenty of sources for green smoothie recipes. I don't think it's going to be hard for me to just try different combinations to see what I like and how I feel. I'm struggling more with the *other* food that I need to eat. I can't drink smoothies breakfast/lunch/dinner. I need to actually EAT something too. I'm struggling finding a blog or website that just has some good sense, real-world, healthy recipes that incorporate things like legumes, whole grains, etc. I wouldn't have thought it would be so hard, but it has been. I've found plenty of raw-foodist sites but they're hard-core and I don't want to go that route. What are your favorite sites for healthy recipes? Please share! And I'm sure this has been asked before so I apologize for the repeat but searching for " healthy " or " recipes " yields a lot of results.
