Guest guest
Thanks, . Beth's boyfriend is over today. He's"afraid"of me (and says it over and over) because he thinks I'm "scary!" We talked very honestly about their relationship today, and I heard her quietly tell him "I tell my mom everything; she helps me work through my problems..." Ah...I love hearing those subtle little compliments. We've actually had a good 3 days since homecoming. Yay! It's great that shehas independent thoughts, but of course, I can't get a word in edgewise,NEVER HAVE BEEN ABLE to with this girl!!!!I am glad that she had a good time. My son's school had Homecoming two weekends ago.I think all that you mentioned above about Beth, is VERY symptomatic of Bipolar. She is coming off of the high of the night and also a bit upset with your not trusting her with .I think as her mom and as a person who has to be responible for her, she needs to eventually learn to repect your role as a mom and not as a friend. She hopefully understands that you need to have standards and expectations for her while she is a young teenager. All the best.... good luck in IL :_)

Guest guest
Dear , Sue and JoAnn, Just when we thought Jimmy would be coming home (today is Wednesday in this part of the world), they postponed it again, saying that he would probably need another transfusion. He just called and said he would like the same sitter, so I will call her if she is still available. He wants to be home, but I know he is better off there until he is more stable. Sandie was a critical care nurse and she said all patients get irritable after heart surgery, the drugs before, during and after have a lot to do with it. He's so apprehensive and goes into panic attacks and his heart rate ramps up. I am going to bring him a stack of cards that have come in, so that might make him feel better. They are all from my CML buddies and that feels great to know we are getting support from people who never met him, but know him through me. Yes, , like your husband, Jimmy does take care of me. He drives me to my out of town appointments and makes sure I have everything I need as well. Sue, I laughed when I read that you said it was great that Jimmy was irritable. I hope you are doing well since you returned home, too. Of course Jimmy went in for a different reason (lol). You have so much to do to keep your kind occupied and land to roam on and the animals who probably wondered what happened to you. Do you give hour horses apples or carrots for their " desert " ? I too, had saddle bags under my eyes and in my eye lids, you could see the fluid through my skin. That was on 600 mg. Gleevec. My legs looked like tree stumps. After Gleevec, I lost 40# of fluid. I still stay it was mostly between my ears. LOL Everyone stay well and thanks again for your love and concern, xoxoxo Lottie
Guest guest
Lottie So sorry Jimmy will remain in the hospital yet another day. We do trust the doctors to know what they are doing though. I hope this day solves it for him. I would imagine you are a bit tense about it all too, and yet you take this with such great strides. I wish I could be there to be a sitter for him. I wish I could be there to give you a hug too! Be well. Keep up the spirit. I am sure Jimmy gets great energy from your positive attitude. Here's hoping he gets home and to his own bed soon!!
