cocoa nibs/cocoa as a smoothie ingredient

There is some high demand around here for chocolate in smoothies, but

using either the nibs or the cocoa leaves the chocolate with a somewhat

" raw " taste. Does someone here know how to make it taste otherwise?

I tried simply simmering some in water until the water was mostly

evaporated and using the resultant paste but still it's tasting raw or

unfinished somehow. What would I best do to it or put in it, etc, to

get rid of that aspect of the flavor?
