Guest guest
Aliza - Wow - thats a relief - I was thinking I would have to start all over again to get enough glivec in the body to start doing its stuff. Night Sweats, Gyno advises this is just the body adjusting to having no womb, uterus etc, and he has left one ovary that was in A-OK condition, apparently this happens for about a month and normalises back to a persons normal pattern. Gyno gives nothing for it - a body adjustment thing. The person will go into normal menopause at the sametime - if that be tomorrow or in a year or two. Instead of having regular pap smears - I would have a scan of the remaining ovary every year in case to check for cancers etc. I do not know if other countries have routine PAP SMEARS advertised as part of womens health campaigns - however Australia does, and every women over the age of 18 years gets notification that their Pap Smear is due - national register. If the night sweats do not go away then perhaps it is the CML not behaving itself. I go to the Haem. for my first check on Monday - so will let you girls know then how the CML has either stayed the same or white cells increased etc. Thanks for the support Aliza Sue (Australia)
