Guest guest
I just wanted to thank you all for listening and for your kind words. I feel alot better today. Keenan is going to the zoo with a friend and of course he's going through his " What if... " questions. He only asked two. He said he really wanted to go, but " What if i get lost, mom? " and then he wanted to know, " What if (the kids' mom) stops to run an errand and leaves us in the car " ? The second question is a valid what if question because it did happen, so i called her and talked to her about Keenan. Guess what?! She told me she was so glad i told her this because she has OCD, too and she sees a counselor on a regular basis and takes medication for it. I'm glad he'll be going to the zoo with someone who understands. I've known her for two years but she never shared this with me. anyways, she said she'd bring him into the store with her if she stops, which I';d prefer for any " normal " child anyways because I just dont' believe in leaving your kids in the car at this age. He asks alot, however, " what if " questions...alot of times thinking about the worst thing that can happen in something that is supposed to be fun.. or he'll just ask stuff like, " Mom, what would you do if a robber ran up and grabbed you? " and he'll go through a whole list of " What if's " or " What would you do's " ... I'm not quite sure how to answer these ones. Hey, thanks again! We're having a good morning. I spent an hour of playtime with him and told him we could play whatever, so he wanted to play charades where I had to guess the animal or the Pokemon that he was acting out. I must say, t he animals were much more easy! hehe... I'm not real familiar with the different pokemon so he kept laughing at me as I would guess and get their names wrong... We also played Twenty Questions for kids. We had a RELAXING blast. I'm glad i spent some good quality time with him. Talk to you soon.
