Guest guest
Dear , Thanks for the warm hugs - I had sort of forgotten about that ugly issue of transference. And I'm a clinical therapist! I often use what I've been through to help me understand how my children are feeling as well as help my children know that I can relate to them. Never let a powerful emotion go to waste. Yes, I use a lot of humor, both at home and in my practice. Kathy H and I have talked about " paradoxical thinking " which for me takes the form of humor. It not only keeps me centered, but is also a link to my father, who had a fabulous sense of humor that endeared him to many people. Now, about that maid...The dust bunnies are organizing a labor union in my house by now! Gail in N'Awlins
