A yam is better than a sweet potato.

What's the difference between a yam and sweet potato? I always thought it

was the same thing. Is it common to find a yam in the grocery produce section?

I know I can always find the sweet potatos. Maybe I just haven't been

looking for a yam so that's why I haven't noticed.

I put plain cooked sweet potato with its skin in mine yesterday instead of fruit and it was great.

If you like the taste, yes, it could handle it raw quite easily. I would chunk it up into pieces though :-)
