I dont know if it has gotten infected or not I am still on antibiotics, but it is so painful, and my whole side of my face is sooooo swollen. If it is not better by tomorrow I am going to call my dentist and go back in to see what the problem is, I am taking advil and codeine but neither are touching this pain!!! He will pull the others he is a oral surgeon, so thats not a problem the problem is, will I want to do the rest after going thru this???? Ive never had this problem before usually only takes a couple of days for them to heal, but never had I had to have a tooth removed this way. I just cant take this pain,,,, this is worse than my Fibro, Chron's, RA, and migraines......or maybe Ive just gotten used to that pain,,,,I dont know, all I know is this is just about to drive me insane!!!!! Well Im gonna get off now, and try putting another ice pack on my face (even though it isnt helping) Sorry I screamed!!! Just had to get it out. Thanks for listening!!! When mine get pulled they are so bad that they also shattered and have to be drilled out little pieces at a time... I feel so sorry for you... That is so painful when it wakes up... Now will he pull yours again if he has to do another one??? Mine will not pull another one of my teeth... He said I will have to go to a specialist when it needs to be done again, because he had so many problems getting it out ( I have already had Pericarditis once when I was 17, almost died then... Don't need getting it infected again... Don't we keep the dentists lives hopping and on their toes??? ) I DO hope you are starting to feel better... How long does it take you to heal??? CZ you need to have some fun!!!! I have not been able to catch you on, haven't been on much cause I had my tooth pulled Thursday, I was a real hard one to pull. It was decayed so when he tried pulling it it broke into pieces, so he tried drilling it down some, then realized that it was stuck to the bone and would not come out the way he was doing it, so he had to drill it some more, cut it to separate the roots, then pull each root one at a time. It didn't hurt while he was doing it, thanks to the Novocain, but once the Novocain wore off it started hurting bad. And its still hurting and my face is all swollen. So that's why I haven't really been on. Hope you are doing well. Did you get your new budgie? Well take care of yourself and I will talk to ya later!!!! The healing takes so darn long and the pain is so unbearable... Yell, Scream and Hollar all ya want!!! We missed you!!!! well, no the pain isn't any better, I went back to the dentist on Wednesday, he said I had septic socket, which is basicaly a bad infection (sounds gross huh?) He said all I could do is keep taking the antibiotics and told me to take vitamin c, he said that would make it heal faster. Don't know I've never heard of that one before. So I will do as he says and if it is no better by Monday I will call again. Well hope all is well there, especially with the situation of your girls!!! I can even feel the pain with ya ;o) all I have to do is think of the dentist and my teeth ache worse than normal ) Make sure that you keep on top of that tooth extraction site, take All your antibiotics... I got an infection back when I was 17, and ended up in the hospital with pericarditis!!! (The fluid around the heart got infected from going to the dentist, for those that didn't know what it was ) Almost died from that... Was laid up in bed for Six months, then the next six months being able to just walk a few feet a day to the bathroom and a chair and back, which exhausted me to no end... Plus came down with Rheumatic fever in the second six months... Plus I was a Newlywed by just a couple of months ) Our first year and a half was very interesting to say the least ) And he Kept me ) My grand daughters are with us tonight ) They are such a blessing... they are what keeps this ole lady on her feet... ) Keep us posted on whats happening...
