Guest guest
Dear China, Odd that you mentioned O'neal. He and Farrah are back together, taking care of each other. I saw his daughter Tatum on a TV show and when asked about he father, she said he took and pill and was cured. That must have been when he stopped taking Gleevec believing he could stop taking his meds. Shows how much communication they have with each other. LOL. I think we are fortunate that we have each other to dialogue with and understand the pitfalls of stopping our meds. Seems he was of the world, but not in the world, that he thought he was different from the rest of us We know we have to continually take our Gleevec or whatever for the rest of our lives and when a cure is found we will be among the first to know about it. Some people must be born under a lucky star, they follow whatever the doctor tells them to do without question and have lived for a long time. If I had not taken my health back from the doctor in my first trial, I wouldn't be here, so what happens to these patients who still don't know anything about their disease and they are able to weather the storm of CML and fare better than those who are diligent. Is it because they don't dwell on it and let someone else worry about it? It would be interesting to hear the stories about these exceptional people. Blessings, Lottie
