Guest guest
Good luck Joan and nne on your biopsys. I had one one year ago and it really wasn't that bad. My doc put me in a light sleep for about 10 mins and then immediately woke me up, within about 5 mins. I asked him to do that so I wouldn't feel so groggy. Of course, they kept me at the hospital about 6 hours for recovery to make sure I wouldn't bleed out. I did really well I thought. My liver was moderately scarred at that time and I'll have another one done in one year. So, Joan, I would suggest being put to sleep. I felt fine the next day. Take care and hope it goes well......... in LA AIH 99'

Guest guest
My son's digestion is also so very bad and I figure the leaky gut syndrom must be true cause he tests positive for everything such as casein and gluten peptides, purine autism and celiac desease. I felt I had no alternative but to put him on the SCDiet. Even if this new diet does not heal his stomach and he has to eat this food for the rest of his life, I think it is a far better diet than the GFCF which he was on for 3 1/2 years. Guest guest
Does anyone know of any Dr's or Nutritionists or whatever specialist it would be in the Houston area that works w/ Autistic kids using vitamins, DHA, DMG, etc. I guess what I'm looking for is a Dr who can test my son to see what he might be lacking and see how we can supplement. I am very interested in the cod liver oil and the products at Kirkman Labratories. You may have talked about this info previously if so let me know and if the website has archives I can search there. We tried medication but seemed to make it worse and I'd like to try a more natural way. Thanks!

What kind os seizures does your son have ? I am surprised that the high amount of soy in the Atkins products has not been a problem. I would like to try this with my son but I was concerned that the soy would be a problem. Please let me know what kind of improvements you have seen. Thanks, The soy is exactly why we do not use processed or packaged foods -- even the Atkins brand. The objective is easy to achieve by simply minimizing carbohydrates and increasing healthy fats, lean meats, poultry, eggs, cheese, yoghurt and veggies that grow above the ground. Hope this helps

Grace Grace Charlie gets the following: 9 grams of Fish oil in gel caps 1 T flaxseed oil, 1T ground flaxseed mixed into yoghurt to make it available to the body -- three times a day 1 T virgin coconut oil three times a day Just remember that flaxseed oil is very fragile and needs to be mixed with a cultured dairy product to make it available to the body. Guest guest
Hey Group. . .FYI/my 2 cents only. . . I don't condone doing anything contrary to your H/O; however, as a Survivor. . .. After being given the morbid mortality of 2-5 months that I was given in 12/2003. . . After I reached '0' per the RT-PCT Test in 1/2005 I got some information from regarding 'pulsing' and after having been placed on 300 mg., I decided that if I reached '0' on 300 m.g. and maintained that for over a year. I began 'pulsing'. . .my thought process was. . . " If I reached '0' on 300, then I didn't need that amount daily to maintain '0'. During 2006- present day; there have been 'Stresses' on my life and I have 'forgotten' to take my daily dosage for 'days'. . .hehehe. My side effects have decreased and there has been less strain on my other major organs.
