Guest guest
I've been on Glivec 800mg since November 2005.Ph originally was 200% WBC 370+. Now my WBC is normal, ph 0.02%. In the meantime I am on Levlan permanently for fibroid. If come off that then I'll need an emergency hysteroctomy. I'm going to see of ablation will be effective, though doubt it 'cause of the high dose of Glivec. I suffer with diarrhoea often. My question to you girls is, has your sex life suffered in any way since being on Glivec? My husband is always wanting to touch me, feel me, want sex etc but I don't feel sexy anymore. I'm too conscious of myself. Is this normal to feel like this?nearly all the time I have a sore bottom, using a soothing cream and that doesn't help because it can't look very nice to his eyes. I'm trying not to be an ungrateful whinge here but is it just me? Glivec seems to give me huge amounts of gas, at night and I've become conscious of that too.How do you girls cope with your sex lives, have things changed? Or is it just me here? Thanks in anticipation Love Jackie _________________________________________________________________ Be part of history. Guest guest
Jackie -- You have excellent reasons for being preoccupied in addition to significant physical interference. I know, it's real easy to feel like you should be feeling " grateful " all the time because of gleevec, yet have real problems that result from it too. It's a conundrum, all right. btw If you don't mind my asking, how old are you? @...: annnoulla@...: Sun, 1 Jun 2008 12:22:58 +1000Subject: RE: [ ] One for the girls - some advice please I've been on Glivec 800mg since November 2005.Ph originally was 200% WBC 370+. Guest guest
Hi Jackie- Someone on named the gas problem gleevec/glivec butt. You are not alone. For me it depends on what I eat when I take my meds. Generally as women we tend to think that men won't find us sexy if we don't look like fashion models or in our case have smooth skin or unswollen eyes or thin thighs and bellies the-- list goes on. But clearly if hubby is trying to touch you etc- he doesn't care about the side effects. He loves you and desires you.You lucky lady you. I can't help but think that enjoying intimacy with your husband would boost your immune system. Generally men are not strangers to gas or expelling it. Your concern is probably more of an issue to you than to him. Talk to him about how you are feeling. I'm sure he will dispel your fears. just don't let him talk you into a flatulence contest or playing a song. As women many of us want to hear -I love you. To most men saying- let's go to bed early means...I love you. Sounds like you have a good man who loves and wants his woman. I bet he would even put that cream on for you, if you'd let him. Unless there are some medical problems, I say light the candles, get out some massage lotion and put a big old smile on both your faces. Chi PS Note for those who have shirts coming- I didn't like the first batch -too plain. So I'm having some more words added. I'm thinking...until there is a cure or searching for a cure. --- " jackie ... " <annnoulla@...> wrote: > > > > > > I've been on Glivec 800mg since November 2005.Ph > originally was 200% WBC 370+.
