Guest guest
Tammy, Honey it is here to stay! Not only does Leukemia make you tired but so do the drugs that keep us alive. I used to run on about 4 hours of sleep, if I got more I felt terrible but 4 was just right and I ran around and did stuff all day! Nowwwww I am lucky to be awake four hours at a time!! EVERYTHING makes me tired, walking to the car, walking up the steps, sweeping and mopping the floor almost kill me. That i the one side effect of both that drives me crazy I am tired alllll the time. I just told my son last nite that when I saw my Neur. next month (he has CML also and is very sympathetic) I was going to ask him to give me something I could take in the mornings that would keep me awake ALL day. Sorry to tell you but good luck with it! Hugs, > > Is this the new normal? It sucks!!! Since DX in Aug.... I was recovering > from surgery. Then I was into marital problems, then holidays. Guest guest
My grandmother has had CML for about two years now and she had gotten down very low. Just could hold her head up. She was in and out of the emergency room and finally on one of her ER visits a local doctor did a thyroid test and found out that she has a toxic multinodual goiter(hyper-thyroidism). It had run her completely down and now she is on medicine and is still pretty weak but, doing much better. I really didn't think she was going to make it. She is being referred to an endocrinologist now. I say this to let everyone know to get theirs checked. I did not know anything about the thyroid until now. It can cause big troubles! -- Kristie Skipper skipper3@... -------------- Original message -------------- From: " " <katybug45@...> Tammy, Honey it is here to stay!
