Guest guest
Okay, some of you guys are crazy funny, I must say!!! I did go to the store and got grapes and cucumber. The watermelon would just be demolished in no time with the 3 kids so it isn't even worth the hassle of the mess. My sister told me that she drinks diet Lipton Green Tea in Citrus and she pees all day long, so I am trying that this evening. We'll see if it works by how many times I " go " tonight. I LOVE crystal light so I am going to try that too. I know what you mean as far as the packets. My kids love the Kool-aid ones. I also got some lemons for my water as they say lemons work too... Who knows? I don't think any of this could hurt. I was on Gleevec and gained weight with that too, with my highest gain being 16-17 pounds which I did lose within 9 days of stopping the Gleevec. Then once I started the Sprycel, I am now up around 22 pounds. I guess if its not hurting anything (except my image of myself), I really don't need to do anything. I am getting labs tomorrow and I am sure he will order another chest X-ray since the weight increased again. Last one was negative. I don't think I can go back to Gleevec. I had SO many GI problems with that. My quality of life was horrible. I still have GI problems now but not to the same degree. As long as it isn't affecting my heart or lungs, I'll just find a natural way to try to alleviate some of it with diet. Thanks so much sincerely for all the posts. They have helped and I will let you know how it goes! Hopefully I will be shedding some of the 22 pounds soon!!! Hugs and Hope- 36 CML 5/13/05 Gleevec 800mg until 8/07 Spyrcel 100 mg since 9/07 Wife and mother of 3 (12,9,7) # 907 in Zavie's Zero Club **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Guest guest
Hi , I can certainly relate to your water retention. I'm taking Gleevec and am about 10 pounds " fluffy. " I've never tried any of the suggestions offered, but will give the watermelon and Crystal Light a go right along with you. I do so love watermelon, and as my kids are all up and out, I am able to have it in the house! :-) Thanks a lot for bringing up this topic! And we'll be waiting to hear if you experience in being less fluffy! :-) JoAnn > > > Okay, some of you guys are crazy funny, I must say!!! > > I did go to the store and got grapes and cucumber.
