Guest guest
Dear Donna, Next time I see Pat Ault in the hall, I will tell her that you called her a " right hand man " . LOL She will think that is very funny. I have to agree, she is very knowledgeable and able. Donna, I see Dr. K over there and I presented him with my own road map. He looked at it and presented it to the drug company, since I was in a trial and when he received permission from the company, also gave me his blessings and we tried it my way. Eventually I was taken off the drug because of pleural and pericardial effusions, but the fact is you can have your own input and see what Cortes says. Tell him exactly what you have written here, how you feel and ask for more time to stay on Gleevec for another 6 or 8 months before switching. Personally I stayed on Gleevec for 4 years before switching. There are several of us who would make interesting cases studies, as we have weathered the tests of several drugs and still have not reached the pinnacle - PCRU. That's my nickel's worth. Blessings and best of luck, Lottie
