Guest guest
Hi Lottie, I guess this isn't very surprising as your cytogenetics already indicated that you were 100% Ph+. I would suggest though that you get in touch with your doctor and insist on a new drug now as SKI obviously isn't working for you. There are still several other drugs out there that you haven't tried yet and I see no reason to wait until July to do so. I would also ask for a mutations test if it's been a while since you had one. Different mutations are known to work better with different drugs so this would be good information to have. I know it's disappointing to be back to 100% but remember that you still have options to try. Take care, Tracey > > This is the result of the complete assay from BMA on April 5, 2008. The date 8/2/07 is the date I began the SKI trial. They have not decided what the next drug will be, I will have to wait until my next appointment in July. > REAL TIME BCR INTERP PB > BCR-ABL qRT-PCR: > > A b2a2 BCR-ABL fusion transcript coding for the 210kDa BCR-ABL protein is > detected by real-time PCR. > > The percentage of BCR-ABL to ABL transcripts is greater than 100. > > COMMENT: Quantitative real-time PCR analysis performed on RNA from this > sample for the BCR-ABL fusion transcript resulting from the t(9;22) in > leukemia. Guest guest
Lottie I agree with Tracey. I think mutations study is warrented. See which ones you need to fight and which drug does the job. Good luck my good New Orleans friend!!
