A plain good ole boy means: 2) A genteel man with manners who holds the door open for his lady, tips his hat to her, pushes her chair in and holds her elbow while crossing the street. I take it as any man with good manners. According to Wikipedia, this is their definition of a " good ole boy " . Matt is right, this is a " small minded " person I would call myopic. www.Dictionary.com describes myopic as: " lacking tolerance or understanding; narrow-minded. " We are delighted to have you as part of our group, Kay. I have been back from MDACC for a few days, but trying to recuperate from a variety of things. I went for my regular check up and BMA and was retained because my Hct was 8.9. After 2 units of blood, it shot up to 9.8, so I went back to the hotel. My biggest problem is a sore throat and a relentless cough. Sometimes there are traces of blood when I cough or blow my nose. I showed it to the doctor at MDACC and he said it wasn't unusual. I just went to my pulmonologist for my yearly check up and he said the cough was from my sinuses, but this is a dry cough and it is so intense when it starts, that I throw up and then get dry heaves. Am I just imagining that something is not quite right????? I will try to get an appointment to see my ENT tomorrow. I should have my results in another 2 or so weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed that there is another report waiting in the wings to spring forth good news. That would really make me happy. Blessings to all, I really missed you, Lottie
Guest guest
Lottie, I have had this cough since the first of the year - I get the dry heaves even when blowing my nose first thing in the morning. My DO and I are now convinced it is allergies. I still say it's allergies and something I picked up from flying in October. I never had allergies before, but I'm making up for it now. I've found some relief by taking Zertek when I go to bed at night - seems to stop the morning heaves. Hope this helps. It's not as bad, but still there. just went to my pulmonologist for my yearly check up and he said the cough was from my sinuses, but this is a dry cough and it is so intense when it starts, that I throw up and then get dry heaves. Am I just imagining that something is not quite right?????
