Guest guest Posted April 22, 2008 Report Share Posted April 22, 2008 Being from Wisconsin, I loved my beer as all Wisconsinites do. Since Gleevec affected my liver I am now on Sprycel. I was told I could have a glass of wine now and then but the fear of liver damage was to great for me to chance. I now have learned if I want a beer I can have a nonacholoic beer. Sharps or o'doles isn't TOO bad. You have the taste just not the kick of beer but it does the trick for me. Where are you from that you can drink at 19. It is a liquid and you swish it around in your mouth and then swallow it. It is something you would get by prescription from your doctor. Hope this helps! The liquid prescription works like a charm and gets rid of it. I would definitely talk to your doctor as soon as possible and get a prescription. I know that Dr. Druker's nurse routinely asks if I have any sores in my mouth. It is always good to rinse/gargle with warm salt water. C.
