Guest guest
Hi Annie - that is wonderful! Congratulations. Regards, _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Annie Sent: Sunday, 25 May 2008 1:13 PM Subject: [ ] Update on :-) Hi everyone I have not posted anywhere for ages now... its been good to take a step backwards from cml and pretend that its gone away - even if it was just for a while and only in certain ways. I thought I would drop in and give an update on my son, . He was dx'd in March 2006 and has been on Gleevec 400mg since then with very few side effects is doing very well, he looks good, sounds good and his pcr is still heading down. Slower than I would like to see, but in the right direction nevertheless. He still has so few side effects and is able to get on with life as normal. Actually, it just got SO much better this past week - he asked his girlfriend, , to marry him! They were in Florida for a week, and under the moonlight, on the boardwalk next to the ocean at midnight he dropped to his knee and popped the question. Boy, do I wish I was a fly with a camera! I know that they both picked awsome people to share their lives with. Its so incredibly good to see how far this young man has come in two short years time. Not only with his cml, but in general. He is having fun with his life and really looking so great. I know that when we first started down this road with cml, I was desperate to find 'good news' stories. I hope 's can be a good one to someone who needs it. love and light Annie 's mom http://livingwithcm <http://livingwithcml.blogspot.com> l.blogspot.com
Guest guest
Annie It is so good to hear from you! I am elated that is doing so well. I know of several young men who have fathered children on gleevec and it was a good experience. I suspect his great long life journey is just beginning and will be filled with beatiful memory making... May the joy all be yours!
