No mucous, just really swollen and completely blocked, so I can't breathe through my nose at all. How does one know if it could be a sinus infection? (no sore throat or fever, so it's not a cold or flu or anything). +++Hi Elyse. None of your symptoms are caused by cavities. They are all caused by toxins, and possibly you have candida overgrowth in your nose and sinuses. Since your nasal passages are blocked and inflammed the mucus in them is very thick. The best treatment is baking soda (mix 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1 cup of warm non-chlorinated water and put drops in your nose or snizzle it as instructed in this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/sinus4.php Bee
Guest guest
Thanks Bee, I don't have any mucous, my nasal passages are just inflamed. I'm using baking soda in a neti pot, but haven't as often as your article recommends, I'll increase the frequency. There's a lot of options there, H202, nystatin, coconut oil, garlic, cloves, oil of oregano and more. How do you decide which one to use or what combinations? Thanks. Guest guest
Elyse, Also ensure the air you breathe contains plenty of moisture, by either boiling water or with a vaporizer or humidifier. Guest guest
I do have a humidifier running. OK, I'll use the baking soda. Are the other options for later when sinuses are not so inflamed?
