Well Basil, welcome to our group. I know you never intended to be a part of us,

but since you are here you might as well pull up a chair and bet comfortable; we

recognize you as one of us and hope you will continue the correspondence you

began today. You are already off to a good start with 5 years under your belt

and it gets better as new drugs are discovered and trialed. I'm sure you will

have more input as you read from the posts with your own personal illustrations

to share with us. I was diagnosed 11+ years ago and am not yet ready to give

up. I know you are a long way from the U.S., but I go to MDACC (M. D.

Cancer Center) in Houston. It's been my privilege to meet so many wonderful

people with CML, not only there, but as we travel, we meet others. It certainly

does broaden your world about how everyone has different problems and yet they

move on ahead, some to the top, like you receiving a nice notch with your

number in the zero club. I am yet to reach it, but I know it must feel great to

be given a number, like winning a spelling bee and getting a certificate. All

best wishes and looking forward to hearing from you again.

Blessings,

Lottie
