Guest guest
Dear and Eva, When I was in the Sprycel trial, I had a lot of different drugs to take and some required that I take them on an empty stomach, and with the Sprycel trial, you had to fast 2 hrs. before and 2 hrs. after. I couldn't figure out when I could eat. LOL. They told me to take my entire list to a pharmacy and I did. She separated them all and gave me a schedule, which I still follow today. I'm off Sprycel and on SKI and that requires that I have a substantial meal. When I get up in the early morning to go to the bathroom, I take the other pills together if I need to be fasting, so when I get up, I can have my first cup of coffee without having to wait. That's my nickel's worth on meds. I'll put it on your tab. LOL This is for Skip, I'm glad you are feeling better, but that must have been a wild ride they gave you. Any drug I was on and then switched, they required a one week wash out period. Knowing this should be helpful if they ever decide to switch you again. Some drugs do give you a fever at the get go, but it usually goes away in a day or two. They told me just to go to the hospital in case it was an infection. Let's all hope and pray and keep our fingers crossed that your new drug will be the ONE!!!!!!!!! No charge for the advice. Peace and blessings, Lottie
