Guest guest
HI FOLKS, WELL YESTERDAY WAS A WEIRD DAY, A GOOD ONE, BUT WEIRD. GOT THERE, HAD THE PORT ACCESSED AND DID LABS, AND WENT TO THE INFUSION DEP. THEN ALONG CAME DR. TALPAZ AND SAID, NO INFUSION! MY COUNTS WERE TOO LOW. AND I DON'T HAVE A COPY OF THEM. BUT THE WBC WAS 2.2, I THINK,AND THE HGB 8.6, PLT 197. SO HE SENT ME TO XRAY FOR A CHEST PICTURE, AND I HAVE TO TO FOR PULMONARY TESTING HERE, AND BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS, HOPEFULLY MONDAY. HE KEEPS A SHARP EYE ON THE LUNGS, ONE OF THE GALS HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH HER LUNGS ON THIS DRUG, SO SHE IS NO LONGER IN THE TRIAL. AND MY TONGUE, NO LONGER NUMB, IS NOTICEABLY THERE, VERY SENSITIVE TO HOT AND COLD, FEELS SORT OF LIKE I BURNED IT WITH HOT TEA OR SOMETHING. VERY ODD SIDE EFFECTS, BUT AS LONG AS THE NUMBNESS IS GONE, FOOD TASTES GOOD. I DID NOT GET TO SEE LEN AND ERNIE AS WE WERE THERE VERY EARLY AND LEN HAD HER INFUSION THE DAY BEFORE. SO THAT'S IT UNTIL NEXT THURS.
