Why Salt Matters

Dear Sue,

I copied the information you referred to in your post on salt matters and

noticed that there was an advisement on Meniere's Disease. This is one of the

most debilitating things I have ever had to endure. I was put on a restricted

sodium diet for a year and I still had bouts of it after that. I occasionally

have some vertigo, but I specifically remember the day I had my first and worse

attack. I had eaten and shared with a co-worker a can of vegetable soup and a

cheese sandwich, both of which are loaded with sodium. Thanks for alerting us

to these helpful articles. Wonder why cows don't get it? They have salt in the

field for them to lick. One of the things I was told to do was to exchange

lemon juice for salt. On meat it wasn't too bad, but not so much on vegetables.

Blessings,

Lottie
