Guest guest
I just cut mine down last week and hung it to dry, but I also took 3 sprigs and put them in water. I hope that they take root as they are still looking good. Then once they do that I can put them and put them in the ground next year too. At least thats my plan. They really made a nice looking plant in the garden. I did not dig up the other plant.. so the stalks are stil there. If it comes back in the spring all the better but if not I hope to have my three young plants. My ginger is starting to die back.. it has been inside in a pot. Is this what its suppose to do? shaye Re: Pineapple sage blackberry brandy mmmm i LOVE pineapple sage. it smells just like a fresh pineapple. YUMMMMM yummy. and the flowers this time of year are soo beautiful and vibrant red. NICE. One lady at the plant store said that I could try bringing the plant in for the winter and cut it back some. I might try that as I have 2 back there and leave the 1. this spring it DID grow back on me so I was surprised to see that. > > > > Hi Shaye, > > > > Trying infusing it in blackberry brandy and see if adds a bit of > something- > > something!. Guest guest
That's great, Koala. I might take a cutting or two and see how that works out. I haven't had much success w/ outdoor cuttings yet, but I am determined. :-) Beth www.SoapAndGarden.com In a message dated 10/20/08 10:48:46 Eastern Daylight Time, Koalas_boutique@... writes: One lady at the plant store said that I could try bringing the plant in for the winter and cut it back some. Guest guest
Shaye, get yourself a small bag of vermiculite to start your cuttings in. The roots they develop in water are different than the roots they develop in a soil type medium, so they don't always take hold in dirt if they have water roots. If you have Rootone, that should help, too. If only I could remember where I put mine!
