Guest guest
Thanks for the post. It is nice to hear when others are experiencing the same things... Not that you wish that on them, but more because we are not alone! My thighs, I must say, aren't fat but fluid.....It hard to describe. They are tight like fluid but not evident like if you had pitting edema in an ankle or calf area. I mean they aren't indented when I stop pushing on them. They just " feel " heavy. I also have muscle and bone pains from my calves down throughout my ankles but I have had that since diagnoses through my Gleevec days as well. My SOB bothers me the most besides the normal fatigue we must deal with. I could be simply doing motherly things like loading the dishwashers or clothes dryer and be winded when done. I also get EXTREMELY hot and flushed. My whole body burns up and then I get bright red in the face and if I sweat a little my skin burns. I haven't heard that about stopping the drugs. My understanding is that we are on them until the cure is found. I would like to think I am wrong but I haven't heard anything. Boy, what a dream that would be, to be able to stop. I am hoping research keeps going in a positive direction and the next best thing comes along soon. Until then, me and my Spyrcel will continue to be best buddies. It is working thus far. Wishes you all the best!
