The drug had a weird effect on me, aside from tossing breakfast, it made my tongue numb! It feel like I was at the DDS and had Novocaine, and the numbness is just starting to wear off. Food also does not tasted good, but that will be a plus as I over eat anyway. Mon. was labs, ekg, X-ray, visit with Dr. T. Tues was labs, all day, ekg, all day, the infusion, barf, more labs, more ekg, then numb tongue. Wed. and Thurs same, labs, ekg, and a Dr. visit, and home. The tongue is seeming to get less numb as the day progresses. So, it's go back every Thurs. Takes about an hour, a little more. The nice thing was, the drug company picked up the hotel tab. That never happened in 8 years. My daughter and I had a suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, and living room. $132.00/day, 3 nights, and they took the bill. Wow! that was nice of them. Now then, on the down side, they had me quit taking Caduet, which is a combination of Norvasc, for high blood pressure, and Lipitor for cholesterol. And today the U of Mich called , gave me my labs. WBC - 5, HGB - 10.6, PLT - 171, and LDH 289. They said I could not take a channel blocker, is that what Lipitor is? Or is that the Norvasc, anyone know? I 'spect my PCP will call me when he gets those labs faxed to him and have me come in for more labs. Not being on Caduet was OK with me, it's over 200/month, as compared to the hydrochlorathiaside (gee, if I spelled that right I will impress myself!) which is dirt cheap. But, back to the LDH, that was without fasting, so how accurate is it?
