Guest guest
Several months ago, a listmate (that a " lottie " of us love and respect...not mentioning names here ;-)) mentioned the LiveSTRONG Summit, happening this July at Ohio State University , Columbus , OH , USA. The LiveSTRONG Summit, a part of the Lance Armstrong Foundation, will bring together delegates from across the country to be inspired, empowered and trained to lead community-centered efforts to help make cancer a national priority. I have been fortunate enough to gain a delegate spot for this year's Summit and want to carry your voice and your stories with me. As many of you know, CML has forever impacted my family and we want to give back. As a delegate, I will have the opportunity to meet and discuss CML specific issues with others in the cancer community; bringing CML awareness to the discussions. I NEED YOUR HELP TO EFFECTIVELY DO THIS! Would you consider sharing your story, words of advice, needs, and concerns so that I may more adequately represent the real needs that you as a patient, family member, or caregiver face daily? I am in the process of creating a document/booklet called " Faces of CML: Stories of Courage, Hope, and Inspiration from the Worldwide CML Community " and would love to include you and your family. It doesn't matter where you call home; I want to carry your story to this event. Please don't hesitate to contact me. I have provided a questionnaire (Faces of CML Questionnaire) in the files section and on our website (www.carolynshope.org) that you can fill out if you'd like to be included in the booklet that I am preparing for the Summit . Also, you may email me directly at gstephens@... with any comments, ideas, thoughts and needs. I respect your opinions and welcome your input. Thanks, Greg s Mom Carolyn, dx Jan 05, bc 12/06, bc2 03.07 www.carolynshope.org
