Guest guest
Greeting to All of You!! I had scare yesterday. I was sitting at my desk in my office and my heart took off. The other girl in my ffice called my daughter who is an RN and was close by and she came over. She and my son in law took me to the hospital. They started and IV and gave me some med that quickly stops and starts your heart to slow it down. I did not pass out. Kortnee says if it happens again to call 911 immediately! It is othing to mess around with. Has anyone had anything like this. The ER doctor said I have been on my meds for a long enough period that they did not cause this problem.??? Thanks and Blessings Jo-Dee
Guest guest
Every now and then my heart feels like it's flopping around like a fish on a dock. I've always just ridden it out. Guest guest
Same here. One time i called the doc and he made me go to the er. I had a fever so that started a whole other area of issues. But my heart will race from time to time. I was checked out by a cardiologist and if you have concerns check it out. I have heard (but not proven) that its the cml that can trigger the racing not the drugs but i dont know for sure. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry [ ] Rapid Heart Beat? Guest guest
What you want to find out is if your heart rhythm is normal or if it's irregular. Beating fast (tachycardia) isn't as big of an issue as beating irregularly. I had a big problem with tachycardia a few years ago and went through extensive testing. All the tests showed normal sinus rhythm which is what they want to see. They never did determine a cause but since the rhythm was normal, they weren't concerned with it and told me pretty much to ignore it. Guest guest
Most palpitations are benign, but if anyone has any kind of concern with their heart they should have it checked out. First by your PCP and, if he has any concerns, by a competent cardiologist. I get palps quite regularly and have learned that breathing deeply will usually stop it. This technique also works with a tachy beat. Hope this helps!
