Guest guest
Dear , I know how frustrating it is to have the weight gain from fluid. When I stopped taking Gleevec, I lost 40# of fluid. I think most of it was between my ears!!!!!!!!!! LOL. I know someone who gets rid of her fluid by sitting in a sauna and then walking. No one likes the bloated eyelids, but I had fluid bags hanging under my eyes. You could actually see the fluid. I didn't do anything, because the doctors didn't offer any solutions. Maybe Lasix, I don't know. I know I tried it for my swollen ankles on SKI and it doesn't help. I think you are on the right track by eliminating the foods you know that retain fluids, especially salt. I'm surprised to know that caffeine also does it. I just need the will power to do it. At my age, I don't want to give up everything, so I need to change my attitude. Remember the wraps they used to do in salons all over the country a few years ago, they were the rage. They were supposed to make you lose weight, so why not fluids, that is probably what they did anyway, made you sweat it out. Let us know what works. We get so many diverse ideas from the group, we may be surprised that some of them work for us as well. Blessings, Lottie
