Guest guest
Dear Tammy, I smell things no one else smells, too. I sometimes get the sense that something is burning or some other odd smell. We walk all over the house and check everything to see if there is a burnt wire of maybe something is not really connected all the way, but we never find anything. My son goes outside to smoke and then comes in and the smell just goes right to my lungs and I want to cough or gag. I haven't tried the Febreeze because I am so sensitive to room deodorants. Maybe I will now that I know that you think it is pleasant. By the way, my husband notices that I am different, but he doesn't talk about it, he knows a lot because I share a lot from the group. He doesn't remember everything I give him to read, but he reads it if it is about CML. He's always in the room when I see my oncologist at MDACC and they are so used to seeing him that if he is not there, they ask where he is. Sometimes he was in the hospital and I had to go it alone. He's also been with me whenever I meet anyone from a cyber group. My friends are his friends now. His are all dying. LOL. True, he is always going to a funeral for one of his friends. He finally stopped smoking and I am so grateful for that, so he's had to make changes in his life, too, it's not just me. He always thinks of me first, what do I want, like he's granting me my last wish. LOL. He had a birthday this week and we get to pick the place or thing we want to do. He wanted a steak, and I asked for a small piece at the end and he ended up putting half in my plate. I gave it back to him, I only wanted a taste of it. I met someone the other day whose husband left her because she had cancer. That must be very difficult to be left with your children to raise and you can't work because of the Gleevec side effects, but go on you must. My family is on their own now, but I feel for all of you who are trying to carry on the same as before. Life sucks sometimes, but I am still grateful for my life such as it was/is. I was never homeless, always had a job, and a person of high energy that was able to multi-task. Now I can't walk and chew gum at the same time. Sitting at the computer, reading your posts and doing research helps me to keep my life in perspective, so I thank you all for your input and responses. Guest guest
Lottie, One night I was absolutely sure I smelled something funny, burning. I finally said something to my hubby, becuase this was different than the normal smell that only I can smell. Good thing too, because a box that joins 3 wires in the laundry room (HA! Can't think of the correct word for it!) had come loose because the washing machine vibrates - and the ends were touching and sparking. Having the bathroom light on connected the current. If we hadn't of found it, we'd probably not have a house to call home. I smell the wood burning fireplace differently too. Almost like I can smell the different types of wood and how hot it is. No one else can... maybe I should be looking at this as a gift! (LOL) It is the new OUST surface and air that we use. The scent is Clean Scent. I don't like fragerant smells either. This stuff seems to dissolve into the air very quickly and not leave a " chemical-y " smell. My dad is actually allergic to chemical smells, so we rarely burn scented candles or spray Lysol or use strong cleaners. I don't even wear hair spray or perfume. My mom and dad live in the same city, and although they don't just drop by, we never know. I don't personally like perfume, and also use unscented lotions. Guest guest
Dear Group: I'm glad to see that I am not the only one experiencing a heightened sense of smell. It seems like I notice people's breath more than I used to. I was at the library one time looking at books and I had to move because the lady next to me had smelly breath and we weren't standing that closely to each other! I drive my husband crazy sometimes! When he comes home from work I can tell if he has eatened Chinese food or food with garlic or onions in it for lunch. Now he announces it like he is telling me to get over it! LOL Sometimes I can't clean up after dinner because the smell of cooked food makes me feel nauseous. I use unscented deoderant and I don't wear perfume and I don't use Plug ins or anything like that around the house. Ensure you are taking at least 1 1/2 teaspoons of ocean sea salt per day (in the Electrolyte Drink and/or added to foods), and that you are drinking water that contains its natural minerals (not reverse osmosis or distilled). Welcome to our group. Please do not take ThreeLac - see this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/mn33.php Besides, candida is NOT cured by killing it off or " trying to get rid of it. " It is only cured by building up the immune system so it becomes strong enough to " make " candida change back into the friendly organism it is supposed to be in the body. The only way to build up your immune system is with " proper nutrients " (this diet plus all supplements), and by eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida, etc. Please ensure you read 2 important articles for curing candida: 1) How to Successfully Overcome Candida 2) Curing Candida, How to Get Started http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/candida/index.php For encouragement see these many Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php The best in health, Bee
