Guest guest
Skin problems are a direct cause of metals in the body.... Which metals that are causing the problem can not really be determined as Dr. Cutler has said. All that I know is that I had gentic ichthyosis for 47 years (dry fish skin) which has disappeared with toxic metals removal. Mercury arsenic cadimum tin nickel??? Guess what it is NOT gentic it is only metals poisoning. I am currently using 100 mg lipoic acid per hour, and 100mg Chemet per 4 hour. NO CYCLES. See what happens. > >And my husband doesn't like to buy expensive > > creams that claim to help, because many of them irritate the skin > > A wise policy. I'm not trying to advertise the cream - I have just > seen it help a lot of stuff. If A & D works there is no reason to > consider anything more expensive. > > >does mercury cause psoriasis > > Yes. But the more important thing I don't know is how often psoriasis > is caused by OTHER things. So I don't know if just having psoriasis > is a reason to worry about mercury. > > Andy Cutler
Guest guest
Hi everyone - I'm having trouble with my skin in that even weeks after being out in the sun (and getting a little burned) my skin itches like there's no tomorrow. There is no rash, just darned itchy and it's a crawly itch - figure that one out! It's hard not to scratch and when I do, the skin really feels like it's burning up. It sorta feels like shingles and gets irritated from clothing. I get to see a dermatologist but not until September so it will be interesting to see what he has to say. Also I have been waking up at night burning up and sweating all over my body - I'm past menopause and I too am almost 6 years into this " game " with Gleevec. Guess it's a reminder that I'm still a " druggie " ! Take care everyone and if you have nice warm weather, send it our way - we got more snow today - crazy! Guest guest
Hi Eva, You mentioned all the topical creams and lotions you put on your skin. Seems like you are doing all the right things. Now let's talk about nourishing your skin from the inside. Do you drink enough fluids? When you have your blood checked, do you check the balance of your sodium and potassium levels. sodium absorbs fluids. Do you have frequent diarrhea which would keep you dehydrated? Now here are some things that might also help. The dermatologist told me to switch to Dove soap and turn down the temperature of the water so it is not too hot. She said tepid water is easier on the skin and she told me not to take soaking baths and cut down on showers. I used to shower constantly. I can't even think about not showering every day. So, I went out and bought a shower head with a handle. Now, my showers are real quick and never ever soak. I use the handle for all the vital parts that need washing and jump out of the tub fast so I don't stay in longer than I should. Water on the skin does dehydrate. Odd, but true. I used to stay in the pool till I wrinkled. Now I go 3 x's a week and do my aquatic exercises for 15 min. and then I am out of the pool. I know the chlorine in the pool is also bad for the skin, so I make it a point to get in and out fast. I love to be in water. I guess doing the aquatic exercises is my last sign of defiance. That and a piece of sugar-free chocolate once in a while. Hey! A girl can't give it all up! Take care and keep on doing all you can. Evertually, you will start seeing results. I did.~~~~Dolores From: Eva Holloway <holloway-eva@...> Subject: rheumatic skin problems rheumatic Date: Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 7:24 PM Hi everyone, I have some very dry skin problem and I had been doing real well with petroleum jelly-e & aloe. then I went to Eucerin, changed to Aquaphor and I tried Calendula cream. I also have put on lotion and then wore rubber gloves or cotton gloves. It seems nothing is working well right now. I have RA and DM and have been on the AP program now for 5 months. I do feel better, I just wonder if this is some herx or just nothing else will help. Thank you for any help. Eva
