Guest guest
Hi all, My name is Genie and I recognize some of you from other Leukemia groups. I was happy to find you all. For those who don't know me, I was diagnosed in Feb of 2000. Gleevec was still STI571 and I didn't qualify for any trials at the time, so I was placed on Interferon. Nasty stuff, but it did the job to keep me in control until I could hop onto Gleevec on May 26, 2001. I have been in remission now since Sept of 2001 with varying bounces in my pcr levels. Most recent pcr was quite low at 0.015%. I tend to bounce though, but learning not to panic when I do. I have two girls aged 13 and 11 so I don't get alot of time to post. I am pleased to have another place to come to comradery and information. I had the pleasure of meeting Lottie and Jimmy in person in New orleans last month. I will post pictures later on. They are both such lovely people. I hope to get a chance to pop into your chat as well. Thanks ... Love, Genie dx 2/2000
