Hey Tracey

I was told to do both at the same time because the folks said, " If you

go through one, you will never go back for the other! " Sometimes I

think these people who say those things are like the naysayers who tell

a pregnant woman all the bad things that happened to them! Hate it when

that happens! My doctor said he would not do both at the same time. I

am told that I will be greatly releaved. My bunions are painful. I

teach all day so I am on my feet. I am hoping for a good expreience.

And really, I do believe it will be okay. I have a high pain tolerance.

As well, I really don't mind the inconvienence of the surgery. I am

pretty flexible this summer.

I appreciate your input Tracey. And I want to tell you that I LOVE this

group. You are a great moderator, who encourages us all and gives the

freedom to say/do what we need to.

Be well and blessings.

Hi Barb,

Thanks so much for your kind and thoughtful words. As for the

surgery, it was not bad at all. I don't think pain was ever an

issue, it's not an especially painful procedure. The worst for me

was being in two casts at the same time which made it very difficult

to shower (you can't get casts wet so imagine having to sit in a bath

with both legs dangling out the side of the tub) but I'm pretty sure

today they don't use casts at all.

If I had to do it over again, I would do one at a time. It would

have been much easier to hop around with at least one good foot than

to hobble around on two lumpy, fragile feet and the healing is fairly

rapid so you can do both feet separately in a reasonable amount of

time.

Take care,

Tracey
