Guest guest
Well, after yesterday, not sure how long I will be on this new wonder drug. That was my 8th infusion, and it did not go well. I took 1/2 an Ativan, that is 1/2 mg, got a little sleepy, then got short of breath. I didn't really think to much of it the first time, but it happened again, then again and I told the nurse. They stopped the infusion, got in the Dr. did an ekg, did a neuological exam, did vitals every 15 min, said I turned white, and quite frankly, scared me half to death. The PB dropped,. and they decided not to continue, and I had to get a chest X-ray. My daughter and I spent the night, just in case. But we did meet up with Len and Ernie, had dinner with them, and spent the night there. I was just plain exhausted at this point. One of the problems, I've had vertigo in the past, and this Sat. it returned, as it has done from time to time. But when you tell a room full of nurses you are light headed, and it's only vertigo, it rings a loud bell! For all I know the drug did bring on the vertigo. I do know, I am not looking forward to next week and another infusion......I am also zero fish, plus the good QPCR. Dr, Talpaz is still not in the office, I hope he is by next week, I really want to talk to him about yesterday. Will keep you posted. On the other hand, Len seems to be handling the higher dose, much better than I am, Good For Her !!! love, Bobby <icynena@...> wrote: Hi, Bobby. Those numbers look pretty darn good to me!! Guest guest
Hi Bobby, I wonder if you have a problem with the Ativan? Because it seems that you have problems everytime you take it. Maybe the infusion isn't so bad after all, maybe you just need to skip the Ativan? Vertigo is a pretty well known side effect of Ativan. As far as the exercises go, if you can scan the paper you have and send it to me, I'd be happy to post it in the files section for you. Take care, Tracey > > > Hi folks, my trial nurse called today, my QPCR on May 28, was > 0.583, and on > > > June 26, 0.203, so it has dropped again, good for XL228. Guest guest
HI TRACEY, DR. TALPAZ IS GOING TO CALL ME MON. AS HE WILL NOT BE THERE FOR MY NEXT INFUSION. ONE OF THE QUESTIONS I HAD FOR HIM WAS DID THE NEW DRUG CAUSE THE VERTIGO? IT NEVER OCCURRED TO ME IT WOULD BE THE ATIVAN. MAYBE I WILL SKIP IT, AND JUST GO BACK TO THE COMPEZINE. IT DIDN'T REALLY WORK THAT WELL, BUT IT WAS BETTER TO THROW UP ONCE THAN TO BE AFFECTED BY THE ATIVAN, THANKS FOR TELLING ME THAT. I AM ALSO ON TRENTAL FOR THE CIRCULATION IN THE LEGS, AND THAT ALSO MAKES ME NAUSEOUS, UNLESS TAKEN WITH A LOT OF FOOD. ACTUALLY, WHEN I GOT THE VERTIGO, I QUIT TAKING THE TRENTAL, MAYB E IT WAS ALL IN MY MIND BUT THE LEGS SEEMED WORSE, SO I AM BACK ON IT AS OF TODAY. SURE IS TOUGH TRYING TO TAKE OFF A LB, WITH ALL THESE DRUGS!!! LOVE, BOBBY Tracey <traceyincanada@...> wrote: Hi Bobby, I wonder if you have a problem with the Ativan?
