Guest guest
My co-worker had felt bad for the longest time. She has zero energy, pale, her left side hurts under her rib, and she gets a bruse just by looking at her. Our work has just gotten ins. but we can't use it until Ayg. 1. She thought her blood was low so I went with her to give blood. The Red Cross checked her blood to see if her count was high enough to give and it was. That was the only way I knew to do it because we didn't want anything to show pre-existing before Aug. She says she feels something pulling on her left side under her rib when she picks up stuff put always feels so pain there. She is tried when she arrives at work. She just cries because she wants to feel better but can't. Does anyone know what it feels like to how a enlarged spleen? Could this be myelogenous leukemia? I dir. a crisis pregnancy center and we have a ultrasound machine that we could checkout her spleen and maybe our volunteer doc. would read it. Please help guide me in helping her. Guest guest
Angie I hear desperation in your email and I hesitate to respond to you because I am not a doctor and my best sense tells me your co-worker needs to see one NOW regardless of insurance. CML usually has a high level white count at diagnosis. That would have shown up on the test to donate - provided the techs doing it did it right. It could be really dangerous to self diagnose from an ultra sound or a smattering of information you gather from here and there. Sometimes as urgent as it may be to get information, going on the various sites and getting enough to scare you - - is not a good idea. Try an urgent care. Try to locate the state program where they can examine and test for things. Each state has a health cost containment system for folks without insurance. I may be wrong, but I also think that the fees for treatment may be different with folks not having any insurance. At any rate, get her to a doctor and let them do what they do best. Your co-worker should be seen and examined soon by a liscensed, qualified and competent doctor. Barb > > My co-worker had felt bad for the longest time. It does hurt and feels almost like a weight that just hurts and its hard to eat because food takes up space and you really feel tight. Good luck, Debbie
